There's so many sites on the Internet that offer free clip art, animations, background, buttons, bullets, lines, and photos that you can spend days surfing for the perfect graphic without composing much of anything. Decide what graphics you need to reinforce the message you want to send your audience. Be choosy.
The sites listed below should help you begin your search. Write down graphics sites that you think you'll want to return to later. Make sure to read their fair use rules and follow them. If an artist asks you to give him credit, DO SO!
One Stop Shopping. Go to Google's image tab, type in the graphic you're looking for, and plan to look at lots and lots of pictures. http://www.google.com/imghp?hl=en
AAA Clip Art. More clipart ideas than you can ever use, plus links to many other sites. A good place to begin. http://www.aaaclipart.com/
